Wow, my very first fan art with yaoi in it. XD There are so many lovely ones to be found here at Deviant art and when I came across this gorgeous line art by kiminess which can be found here: [link] and when I read this on their page:

It's not gonna be colored Oo;
Anyone brave enough to do so, can if they like XD
Just link back to me, eh?

I just had to color their beautiful line art. It was tons of fun, even if it took me nearly seven hours to complete. XD I've also posted it over at my account with theOtaku/myOtaku [link] though I had to make it smaller to keep it from being distored since you can't upload files as big as this one turned out from all the layers. ^_^

Done in Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0

One should always have at least one yaoi/yuri artwork in their gallery. ;) And if this is your first I'd say it's about time!

As for the actual piece, I can't even imagine drawing the line art let alone coloring it. You did a beautiful job. Both of you.

I especially like the hair. You did a nice job. I am still learning how to color and can't decide if I like Painter or Photoshop better for it yet.

As to file size, you can "save for the web" and it will allow you to play with that and you can see in a preview window how it will look and it will even tell you how long it would take to load in secs.

Always keep a copy of your original PSD or Tiff file but flatten your web version to reduce file size to post. Sorry if you already know this. Just trying to be helpful.

Thanks! ^_^ I owe it all to kiminess for doing that awesome line art and stating that anyone could color it if they wanted.

My own skills at line art are still pretty pathetic so it was fun to color one done by someone talented. ^_^

I agree. I've been eyeing lots of different stuff like this for a while now and if I'd known it would be so much fun to work on I would have done it sooner. ^_~

Thanks for the comment and fav!

Thanks! ^_^ I'm not familiar with Painter, that's by Corel right? I only have Adobe Photoshop and I'm saving my money to eventually get CS2 And before that a tablet since I don't have one yet.

I've only played with the save for the web a little and to be honest when I was saving it to post it didn't occur to me to even try that feature. lol I'll have to remember that for the next time.

Usually I don't save things in PSD format since my laptop has a small hardrive, but for something like this I always do. Especially since it took around 25 layers to complete and I'd hate to realize that I need to fix something only to be stuck with it.

Anyway...Thanks for the comment. ^_~

You can always save it as a tiff file too. I think they are smaller file size than psd and fully editable, you won't lose your layers.
